CarePortal has hit a milestone. We are now over 600 requests fulfilled by Faith.
In recent weeks we have provided groceries, clothing, utility payments, car repair, gas cards, gift cards for special needs, and of course bus passes. In the month of March, 41 children in the foster care system benefited from Faith's generosity and caring.
CarePortal 2020 Update:
We were able to make a financial impact of $208,895 for CarePortal, making us the #1 contributor in Oklahoma and 4th out of 2,308 churches in the US. How can you help “Provide the Ride” for people and families in Tulsa this year?
The CarePortal mission project is a way that our church can help children and families in crisis here in Tulsa County. It can make a difference in the life of children and families in foster care. Matthew 25:40 says, “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” As a member of the team, we are able to serve Christ, the church and the community.
CarePortal is an on-going mission project. To be a part of this mission project, send an email to faithcareportal@gmail.com, saying that you would like to participate in the CarePortal program at Faith.
CarePortal requests are sent out regularly via email. Your name will be added to the distribution list. When a request comes in that Faith can help meet, you will see it in your inbox. If you can help meet the request, reply to that email. You will then receive an email with instructions on how to meet the request. A few examples of requests filled by Faith include hearing aid batteries, clothing, gas cards, bus passes, car seats, fees for daycare, summer camps, medicines and used furniture. Members respond to requests as their time and budgets allow. If you are not able to be an on-going member but would like to donate funds used to fill requests, be sure to write CarePortal on the memo line of your check.
