Labyrinth Last Chance!
Dear Church Family,
I’m glad to share a new blog with you—it's been a little while!
First, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your prayers and love. I had to spend nearly a month in Korea following the passing of my father in late January. I’m truly grateful to all of you—our congregation, leadership, and staff—for the comfort and support you extended to me during this time of grief. I will not forget the love I received and hope to be present with you, both in times of joy and hardship.
Lent is a deeply meaningful season in our faith tradition, and I encourage you to experience its depth through worship.
This Sunday, Pastor Heather will preach on the words “Lost & Found,” reflecting on the parable of the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine sheep to find the one that is lost. To be honest, I still don’t fully understand why a shepherd would risk leaving ninety-nine for just one. Do you? Come join us as we explore this story together.
Let me share a few updates from our church life:
This Sunday is a fifth Sunday, which means we’ll gather in the Great Hall for an All-Church Breakfast between services. During this time, Exodus House will visit and share updates on their ministry—we are excited to hear from them.
After worship, Pastor Heather and I will attend a lunch meeting with Bishop Laura Merrill to support a visioning conversation for Brookside Community UMC. Later that day, at 4:00 PM, Bishop Merrill will visit our chapel for a come-and-go reception. Please stop by and help us welcome her.
Our Labyrinth Fundraiser closes on March 31. Don’t wait—let’s fill in those bricks and reach our goal.
Next Saturday morning, we’ll gather for an All-Church Workday to prepare our building for Easter. Many hands make light work—join us.
On Sunday, April 13 at 3:00 PM, bring your children and grandchildren to our Easter Egg Hunt on the East Lawn. May the joy on their faces remind us of the joy and power of the Resurrection.

We’ve prepared meaningful gatherings from Wednesday to Sunday to walk through the suffering and resurrection of Jesus together.
I look forward to spending this sacred season with you.
Grace and peace,
Pastor Seungrok
